TUESDAYS - ALL karate classes are for ages 7 and up.

 

 

10:00 - Intermediate/Advanced - (Green - Black).

The Intermediate/Advanced class is for our karate students who have earned their Green belts and higher, regardless of age (7 and up). Students will continue training in American karate and will have several opportunities throughout the year to qualify to test into higher belts. Students will also have the opportunity to represent Koinos Karate in various tournaments. The class will have a chance to demonstrate their skills in our end-of-year Performance Showcase in May.  

Our karate program has been offered for the whole 16 years that Koinos has been in existence. It is a well-respected and very competitive program. Koinos Karate is active in the martial arts community, and we compete in many tournaments. 

Koinos Karate is coordinated by Stephen Starnes, who is a 9th degree black belt in American Karate. We partner with Mr. Starnes' karate studio in Bridgeport and do most of our belt tests there. Everything we do in Koinos Karate is focused on Jesus Christ, and the respect and discipline that is taught is based on a Biblical foundation. Mr. Starnes is a member of the Martial Arts Hall of Fame and is widely respected in the karate community!

Mr. Starnes has skilled, advanced students who help him teach the classes. Our intermediate and advanced students are also welcome to help with the beginning class, which provides us with a low student-to-teacher ratio.

Tuition is $50.00 per month for the first hourly class (discounted rate for your 2nd and subsequent classes). Belt testing fee schedule will be provided at the time of registration.
