We are the Wilson family.  The first and most important thing we'd like for you to know about us is that we are a family dedicated to living out God's divine purpose for us.  Our family is centered around Jesus Christ.  He is the reason we do everything that we do!  We are proud members of Lake Country Church in northwest Fort Worth.  Ya know, we might be biased, but we think it's the home of the most sacrificial and special people in the world!

The second thing we'd like for you to know about us is that we have six beautiful children, who range in age from infant to 16!  We find ourselves looking around in wide-eyed wonder at the beautiful heritage we see sitting around our dinner table.  Our family is our greatest earthly blessing! 

We've been homeschooling for 8 years now, and we are so thankful to live in a state with so much freedom.  We always take the time to thank the brave homeschoolers of the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's for paving the way for us.   I always tell people that homeschooling is one those rare things that we're "for sure" about!  We know it's our calling, and we love it even when it's challenging!

On a personal note, Michael has his degree in exercise science and is passionate about coaching.  He is currently coaching soccer and football.  He loves kids ~ big kids, little kids, ALL kids.  Shelly has her degree in secondary education and is passionate about teaching.  It's a blessing for Shelly to share her love of teaching with her favorite six students!  Each one of them is the teacher's pet!

We love to camp at the state parks, travel to the mountains of northern New Mexico, and recreate with our extended family and friends.  We believe that laughter makes life so much easier, and we try not to take ourselves too seriously.  We hope to share a few laughs with your family, too!
